We’ve all had bad bosses… And if you are one of the lucky ones who hasn’t, you’ve at least seen them on TV. Do T.P.S. reports ring a bell? They come in many shapes and sizes, from aloof or dismissive to downright Machiavellian, and for the most part we do our best to learn from those individuals so that we don’t become one of them.

But, while most of us have at one time or another been exposed to the Miranda Priestly’s and Michael Scott’s of the world, we don’t always get to see what makes a great boss so great. There are definitely some shining examples out there, and you may even work for one now. Some good managers just get it. They know how to motivate others and do it with ease.
